This site will allow you to gain access to a gallery of art, design, video, interactive works, music and other media projects associated with this universe. The works found here are all created by the same individual, and are here for your enjoyment, exploration and contemplation. As the hub of the synaptek.nologies universe, there will eventually be links to other sites and projects associate with synaptek.
Regarding the artworks found on this site, regardless of medium, every creation has a concept and meaning behind it. However, following a broader philosophy related to the nature of perception, the meaning of these pieces is not explicitly stated or highlighted here. The idea is that what a piece means to the artist is not more important than the meaning that a viewer of the art finds for themselves. These pieces were created with the idea and goal that each person would bring out the meaning to each piece themselves, that each artwork would provide an opportunity for exploration, a meditation of sorts, and a chance for discovery. Additionally, leaving an exact meaning behind a piece up to the viewer opens the door for that meaning to evolve with time, so that a piece can mean many things to each person depending on when and how they view it. From the perspective of the artist, this approach provides a more important opportunity and meaning than would an explicitly stated concept to behind an art piece.
As a separate note, this particular version of the site is still in the early stages of creation, and is an update to an older digital art site which can still be found at http://www.synaptek.nologies.co.uk/archive/level12/ While the site and associated content is a bit old at this point, it contains content not available elsewhere on this site at the moment, so it might be worth your visiting.
